Program / Project Managers
We recognise the important role consultancies and systems integrators play in complex financial systems and transformation delivery, and understand the drivers for engaging consultancies to deliver services with the benefit of warranties. We are also mindful that consultancies can leverage experience and intellectual capital from previous projects.
However clients are now more sensitive to the downfalls of handing complete responsibility over to a consulting firm and recognise that there are considerable cost savings, checks and balances to be achieved from the appointment of an independent contract Project or Programme Manager.
An interim Project Manager can bring balance to a consulting partner’s influence throughout the project lifecycle. As contractors are under client direction and a carefully selected Project Manager will bring very specific subject matter expertise such as relevant applications knowledge, sector experience and so forth, they will be able to maintain an informed check on consulting partners’ outputs and ensure business objectives remain in scope.
Outputs of an interim Programme or Project Manager can include:
- Business Case Delivery & Benefits Realisation Plan
- Scope programme plan, deliverables, milestones
- Stakeholder engagement & communications
- Systems Evaluation, Selection & Procurement advisory
- Shape best value engagements with consulting / BPO partners & Manages 3rd parties
- Establish sound programme governance structures & project methodology
- Mobilise programme team & manages Initiation to Delivery
